Long Beach, WA was advertised as the longest beach in the world, which I can't validate, but it goes as far as the eye can see. What I found that was really awesome was this amazing deck that went on and on and on over the grassy area. Beside it was a paved path for bikes and walking. Every so often there was a sculpture to look at. Pretty cool!
I drove clear to the end of the peninsula to a little development called Oysterville. It used to be a little town and they had all kinds of historical markers and the most incredible restored houses. Here is a church that has been completely restored and is open to the public.
